Abstract

The study that examines the pronunciation and intonation of English newscasters aa veritable tool for effective news and programme with a case study of Kwara State University, Malete staff. There is doubt about the fact that reporters, announcers newscasters and presenters are media representatives that have contact with the media audience often therefore, they must be good ambassadors by having what it takes such as good looking, knowledgeable, good pronunciation, quality intonation and other good qualities that stand out that will enables audience turn or stay turn to such television and radio station otherwise absent of those quality can mar the stations reputation.
