ABSTRACT

The aim of this project is to give a simplified approach to the procedure involved in the inter-bank reconciliation. Which is been done by banks. Since most of the banks in Nigeria rely mostly on computers, I find it very necessary to introduce this new system into banking industry.

1.0     INTRODUCTION

Bank reconciliations were initiated after a number of considerations on the banking system. Major Banks are mainly guid by and manned the central bank.

They are after minimization of financial risk. Such strategies don’t leave much room to people on low income or ever organization that strive for their survival.

This research studied the computerized bank reconciliation system in CBN enugu. Bank reconsilitation are mostly done at the end of a banking transaction  between the commercial bank and the central bank.

For the bank to knows basically what the job output and accurate accountability and also perfect transaction clearity of transaction, there must be a reconsilitation. So that the end of each transaction their will be a perfact understanding between the two bank.

I therefore say that computerized bank reconcilitation form enables bankers to work without stress. Information can be updated as soon a positive change occurs.

Finally I recommend this project to all who may like to have a look at the topic is all about.

The research work  will enable them know the importance of computer in bank are reconilation system which yield fruit ful results as that of other field of human endeavor.

1.1 STATEMENT OF PROBLEM

The events of bank reconciliation syatem have been documented..

This research will evaluate the perceived motion of computer based reconcilia management system.

  1. What step are taken in designing computerized bank reconciliation system?
  2. How can a computerized bank reconciliation system be implemented?
  3. What are the implication of not meeting the above requirement/
  4. How far have computerized bank reconciliation the desired goals?

1.2 PURPOSE OF STUDY

As the bank reconciliation is done by man irregularities are bound to be associated with it.

If these bank reconciliation system are effectively carried out in the computer, it will field fruitful results.

1.3 SIGNIFICANCE OF STUDY

This research work is based on studying the nature of the old system and try to understand it operations functionality and then know how to design the new system, so that the new system will help to speed up and also help in the work output.
