This study focused on perception of AKBC radio programme “Society for Family Health” among resident in Uyo metropolis. The choice of the study was based on the fact that a good understanding of people’s culture, religion income and educational background was needed in planning intervention to change people’s attitude and behavior change. The study which was survey in nature focuses on Uyo resident, the population of the and a sample of 170 was determined from the population of the study through the simple random sampling technique which gave every members of the population the chance of selection. The two sources of data which were the primary and the secondary were used by the researcher in order to get adequate information on the subject matter. Data for the study were presented using presented using frequency distribution tables. In analyzing the obtained data, the researcher adopted simple percentage as statistical tool. Findings revealed that most of the resumption were not regular listeners of “Society for Family Health” on AKBC radio and most respondents also stated that most contents of the health programme was ambiguous. Based on these findings the study recommended that the health programme should be translated in the vernaculars of the three senatorial districts of Akwa Ibom State. Then sensitization programme should be done by the ministry of information and it should be presented at least twice a week.
